We have been asked pretty frequently what kinds of things that we can’t get easily (or at all) in Ireland. Some have expressed a desire to send us care packages. Of course, who doesn’t love a care package? If this is something you want to do, please be aware that it is quite expensive to ship even a small box from the US to Dublin, Ireland. Not to discourage you, but we wanted you to know before you go to the Post Office and reel with sticker shock!!
Things we need:
Aleve/Naproxen Sodium, Loratidine (over the counter allergy med), Flinstones/comparable generic vitamins for kids, Tylenol Sinus tablets or generic equivalent, children’s Benadryl tablets, Aquaphor ointment, Irish Spring Sport soap (Scott has used the Sport kind for years, but he’s okay with the regular kind), sugar-free Tums/Rolaids, Mitchum , Secret Flawless Clear antiperp/deodorant (clean powder scent), Children’s Ibuprofen/Tylenol for ages 6 and up (generic is fine)
Things that make us feel warm and fuzzy:
Hidden Valley Ranch dry mix in packets, McCormick Taco Seasoning, Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, boxed strawberry jello, boxed vanilla pudding, graham crackers, Cheez-its, Whales (crackers), Kraft caramels, Fritos, Mike&Ike, cake mixes – German chocolate, yellow . . . anything but Devil’s food (can get here), chocolate covered peanuts, cinnamon gum, Nestle baking chips, any flavor, Cheetos, sugar-free hot chocolate mix and sugar free candy, candy corn, mallowcreme pumpkins, Reynolds Aluminum Foil, Wax Paper, Glad Cling Wrap, Glad ziplock bags- all sizes, miniature Reeses cups, cornbread mix, packaged muffin mixes like Martha White, Bisquick, Fiber One bars – Oatmeal and Chocolate Chip; Chi Silk Infusion hair product
Things that make us deliriously happy:
seasonal things - candies, baking goods, paper goods, decorations, treat bags (these are all fun to share, too!) ; paper goods – fun napkins, plates, cups, gift wrap & accessories, gift bags ; magazines (Real Simple, Sewing/Craft magazines) ; contemporary Christian music/ new books ; little somethings that you think we might like individually (I can give ideas for the kids) ; scrapbook supplies, esp. adhesive, pens, 12×12 black and white cardstock, decorative papers ; thread that is the yellow color used to hem denim for use in sewing machine (it’s marketed this way); gift and greeting cards (esp. girl birthday/boy birthday), black felt-tip pens, fun vintage items, Bath and Body Works lotion/body wash -brown sugar and fig (this is seasonal!), coconut lime, blackcurrant vanilla – esp. the hand lotion, antibacterial hand lotions, anything with shea butter (love fruity flavors and most all products in the store!), fun things from Target, Crystal Light to be made in 2 quart portions, regular/sugar-free Kool-aid, especially lemonade flavor: kids books age 8-12, kid magazines: yankee candles in harvest/fall/Christmas scents or fig
